1: The Birth This led to battles against two of Bandora's creations, the Dora Monsters known as Dora Skelton and Dora Titan. Their primary mission was to save the lives of two children who were kidnapped from the space mission by Bandora. Goushi became the Black MammothRanger, and was under the command of Geki. Brought up to date on what was going on, the five were given Dino Bucklers they could become the Zyurangers, avatars for the Guardian Beasts on Earth and the only force powerful enough to oppose Bandora. This prompted Barza to revive the warriors of the five tribes to put a stop to her. Seeking to pick things off where they left off, Bandora launched a full-scale assault on Tokyo. In the year 1992, a Japanese space mission to the planet Nemesis led to the accidental release of Bandora and her minions. Their resting place was placed in a secret underground lair 2000 km under what is now present-day Tokyo and left in the care of the Mysterious Sage Barza. With their kingdoms in shambles and the dinosaurs facing extinction, Goushi joined Yamato Tribe Prince Geki, Etoffe Tribe Knight Dan, Dime Tribe Knight Boi, and Lithia Tribe Princess Mei in going into suspended animation only to be revived should Bandora ever return to terrorize the Earth once again. Ultimately, the Guardian Beasts stepped in to end the conflict by exiling Bandora and her followers on the planet Nemesis. It was during this battle that Goushi's sister sacrificed her life in order to get him to safety. The five tribes would later go to war against the evil witch Bandora who sought to bring an end to the age of dinosaurs. Not much is known about Goushi's life during this period except for the fact that he lost his parents at a young age and had a sister named Otome who took care of him and trained him on how to be a warrior. The Sharma tribe specifically worshiped the mammoth. (1990-92)ĭescription: A chattering noise that can be felt coming from the rear during tight turns after highway driving is caused by a lack of friction modifier or over-shimming of the clutch packs in the Traction-Lok differential. (1992)ĭescription: The only way to fix the leak at the oil pan is to replace the gasket with the one designed for the 1993 model 2.3-liter engine. To repair it, Ford has a revised oil pump and a gallery plug with a pressure dampening rod. (1990-92)ĭescription: A knocking noise from the lower left side of the 2.3-liter engine is caused by pressure problems in the oil system. If not caught in time, severe engine damage could occur. (1991-92)ĭescription: Cracked heads on 2.9-liter engines allow coolant into the oil. If the water freezes in cold weather, the engine stumbles when started. Steering is a bit vague, the body leans readily in corners, and tires offer only moderate grip.ĭescription: Water gets into the EGR valve vacuum regulator on the 2.3-liter engine, which usually turns on the Check Engine light. The ride is fairly comfortable, and road behavior typical of small trucks. Wind noise and tire rumble (especially with the knobby 4×4 rubber) are apparent, but not obtrusive for a pickup. Cabin storage in regular-cab models is sparse, and only the XLT and STX have door map pockets. Instruments are functional, controls well-placed, though optional power window/door lock controls are too low and far forward on door panels. But, a SuperCab’s back seats are best suited for children. A regular-cab STX 4×4 with the 2.9 V6 and automatic did better: 19.5 mpg.īench and bucket seats are both comfortable. A 4.0-liter/automatic model averaged a mediocre 18.2 mpg. Even a 4-cylinder Ranger is acceptable if you’re using it mainly as a second car, though we strongly advise the 5-speed manual transmission with that smaller engine. The 4.0 liter engine does get rather growly when worked hard. It’s also a more practical hauler than the 2.9-liter V6, though the 2.9 and 3.0 are fine for light-duty work. Tossing out abundant torque, the 4.0 makes Ranger genuinely fun to drive.
